rodando o comando  lspci |grep -i Ethernet recebo o seguinte

aqui ele identifica a placa, consegui também instalar o kernel-module-e1000e-PAE-1.3.10a-2.endian2_2.6.32.43_57.e43.i586.rpm sem erros porém a porra da placa não sobe (desculpem novamente a palavra mas ja to muito nervoso com isso)

então tenho 3 placas de rede e faço o comando "ifconfig eth3 up" (pois o ifup não funfa aqui ) e vem o resultado de que a placa não existe.
mano esse trampo todo pq essa placa (http://br.gigabyte.com/products/product ... id=4518#ov) é foda. é a rede onboard dela que da pau, as outras duas que tenho vai numa boa mas a on-board ta tenso.

bom galera depois de 3 semanas..... essa budega ainda não funciona kkk. que meleca alguma sugestão?
até mesmo com a gigabyte ja entrei em contato e mesmo eles disseram que não tem suporte/driver para esta placa no linux/endian. vcs conhecem algum gato/gambiarra que faça essa placa funcionar?

Amigão,

Acabei de ter este problema aqui. Fui atualizar o firewall de uma filial do interior usando efw-upgrade e a placa de rede onboard parou(é uma Dell Optiplex 790, usa a placa onboard Intel 82579V - driver e1000e). Também não consegui compilar o driver no kernel 2.6.32.43-57.e51.i586, então fiz downgrade para o kernel 2.6.32.43-57.e43.i586 (é o kernel da Endian 2.5.1). Não é a solução ideal (já que há vários bugfixes do kernel e51) mas funciona!  :P

Baixe os arquivos:

http://updates.endian.org/2.5.1/pool/e1 ... 3.i586.rpm
http://updates.endian.org/2.5.1/pool/ke ... 3.i586.rpm


e os envie para o /root da máquina(use o SCP). Instale-os com:

rpm -Uvh *.rpm --oldpackage

Adicione no arquivo /etc/modprobe.conf:

alias eth e1000e

Então copie o módulo para seus lugar, ajuste as permissões e o instale:

cp /root/e1000e.ko* /lib/modules/2.6.32.43-57.e43.i586/kernel/drivers/net/
chmod 744 /lib/modules/2.6.32.43-57.e43.i586/kernel/drivers/net/e1000e.ko*
insmod.static /lib/modules/2.6.32.43-57.e43.i586/kernel/drivers/net/e1000e.ko
depmod -a


Confira se a placa foi reconhecida (com mii-tool ou ifconfig) e pode rebootar!  8)
